Found them easy to cut and fit and do a good job stopping the draughts between my warm rooms (lounge and bedrooms) and cold rooms (kitchen, bathroom and hallway). My doors are 35 mm thick and they fit with some wiggle room. I reckon they would fit up to a 45 mm thick door. I also cut one in half to fit on my under stairs cupboard doors, which are thinner than normal doors and they are okish but there is still a bit of a draught.I offset mine to get them to fit snugly (shorter on the side that sites adjacent to the door frame). My main tip is to be conservative when you cut (cut off less that you think you need to cut) because you can always cut more but you can't put it back! They come folded into 3 and it takes the foam a bit of time to (mostly recover). It's inside the tube, which retains a few creases. I've seen some people complaining about this, which seems a bit bonkers to me, but I guess you could iron it on a very low heat or between a couple of moist tea towels if you were very particular. I guess if you were also insistent on having full thickness foam throughout, you could cut out the wrinkly sections and replace them with the spare that you cut from the end. Not sure how much difference it would make in practical terms but some people are very particular about stuff like that. They look tidy enough. Obviously not a particularly attractive fabric but you get what you pay for and if you want something better looking (e.g. velvet, leather) there are other options. From a distance of 5 - 6 ft (eye level), I think they look totally fine.
